Competition housing Gehrenseestrasse, Berlin

In the very heterogeneous environment, the new urban quarter on Gehrensee Strasse is characterized by a clear urban structure with a sequence of different inner courtyards, partly as green residential courtyards, partly as public squares, which are arranged on a north-south promenade.

The proportions of the development, the diversity of the buildings and the generously planted open spaces ensure a high quality of living and give the city district a strong identity.
The entire internal organization is carried out by the north-south promenade, which opens up the courtyards.

Depending on the location, the height of the development varies between 5 and 8 storeys, with or without staggering. Exceptions to this are the three high-rise buildings, which mark succinct points.
