Hotel Lindau

Participation in the investor competition of the city of Lindau

Concept for the construction of a new hotel on the site of the former swimming pool “Limare”.

The planned 3-star-plus to 4-star hotel with approximately 140 guest rooms is particularly appealing to business and conference guests with leisure tourism expectations.

The design aims for a development that, through varying heights, integrates with both the small-scale development of the surrounding area and the block developments in the immediate vicinity, and adapts its proportions and scale to the ever-evolving environment.

Sustainability also plays a major role in this project. The design places great emphasis on the building's sustainability requirements, meaning its ecological, economic, and social quality.

Hot and cold water are generated by a reversible air-to-water heat pump, which is installed on the roof of the 5th floor. This green roof area also serves for photovoltaic (PV) use.

For the open spaces, it was important to us that the technical infrastructure be combined with landscape design elements in such a way as to create an attractive, high-quality, and vibrant recreational area. The aim is to preserve as much natural green space as possible and to design sealed surfaces in such a way that they allow water to seep into the ground through permeable paving.
