The new building by the Ahrenkiel Group ties in with the city of Hamburg's urban development strategy of condensing inner-city properties in order to preserve the independent characteristics of the districts. The building fits into the existing structure of the surrounding perimeter block development in St. Georg, but becomes an urban symbol thanks to the consistently classic building aesthetics. Maritime elements can be found everywhere in the building: whether ship models on the floors, the compass rose embedded in the floor in the foyer or the railing on the roof terrace.
